Who We Are

tally.travel is a travel company operating the annual E45 Traverse expedition. We are currently in pre-launch phase. Our contact email is [email protected]. When you use this website or sign up for our waitlist, this policy applies to you.

What We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the waitlist and communicate with you about the tour. Specifically:

• Your name — so we can address you like a human being, not a reference number.
• Your email address — so we can contact you when the tour opens for booking.
• Your country of residence — to understand where our audience is coming from. This is optional.
• Basic website analytics — if we use analytics tools, we collect anonymised data about how people use the site (pages visited, time on site). We do not use cookies that track you across other websites.

We do not collect payment information on this website. Payments will be handled by a third-party processor (details confirmed at booking time).

How We Use It

Your data is used for exactly one purpose: to contact you about the tally.travel E45 Traverse. That means:

• Sending you a confirmation email when you join the waitlist.
• Notifying you when the 2027 tour opens for booking.
• Sending updates about the tour if you remain on the waitlist (rare, meaningful, no spam).
• Answering any direct questions you send us.

We will never use your email address to send you marketing unrelated to tally.travel. We will never sell or rent your contact details to any third party.

Who We Share It With

We may use trusted third-party tools to manage our waitlist and send emails (such as an email service provider). These tools process data on our behalf and are bound by data processing agreements. Beyond that:

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not share your data with advertisers.
• We do not use your data for profiling or automated decision-making.
• We may disclose data if required by law, but we will challenge requests we believe are disproportionate.

How Long We Keep It

We keep waitlist data until:

• You ask us to remove it (we will do so within 5 working days), or
• The 2027 tour has departed and all booking communications are complete, after which we will delete waitlist data that did not convert to a booking, or
• You unsubscribe from our emails via the link in any email we send.

If you book a place on the tour, we will retain the data required for the legal and operational purposes of running that trip (e.g. emergency contact details, dietary requirements) and will explain this in the booking terms.

Your Rights

Under applicable data protection law (including GDPR where relevant), you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure — ask us to delete your data (the "right to be forgotten").
• Portability — request your data in a portable format.
• Objection — object to how we process your data.
• Withdraw consent — unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send you.

Cookies

This website uses minimal or no cookies. If we implement analytics, we will use a privacy-respecting tool (not Google Analytics in its default tracking mode) and will update this policy accordingly. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking of any kind.

If we materially change how we handle your data, we will notify waitlist members by email before those changes take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
